Franz Xavier EGIDY was born 3 Dec 1840 at Rothwasser (Red Water), Moravia, Austria. He married Mary SCHMIDT. In 1881, after Mary died, he married Theresia (--?--). He immigrated to the United States with his children and second wife in 1894. Franz Xavier EGIDY and Mary SCHMIDT had the following children:

  1. Frank was born in Austria. He remained behind when his family emigrated and it is not known what became of him

Mary Elizabeth WOLKEN, daughter of Bernard Herman WOLKEN and Mary Theresa DEBROECK, on 3 Feb 1903 at St. Boniface Church, Scipio, Anderson Co., Kansas; mar. Theresa ZORMEIER, daughter of Matt ZORMEIER and Cresence Shuytser, on 20 Oct 1908 in Minnesota; d. 9 Aug 1964 at Anderson County Hospital, Anderson Co., Kansas, at age 87; bur. 11 Aug 1964 at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Greeley, Anderson Co., Kansas. He was naturalized in 1914 at Anderson Co., Kansas
He died 15 Dec 1900 at Greeley, Anderson Co, Kansas, at age 60. He was buried 17 Dec 1900 at St. John's Catholic cemetery in Greeley.

Anna EGIDY, daughter of Franz Xavier, was born 8 Dec 1872 at Red Water, Austria. She married Ferdinand KATZER, son of Johannes KATZER and Caroline PROUSE, 1 Mar 1897 at Greeley, Anderson Co., Kansas. She died 12 Aug 1942 at her home in Greeley, at age 69, and was buried 13 Aug 1942 at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Greeley.
